ABOUT ME...
The 2020-2021 school year will be my 21st year teaching. I am certified to teach Earth Space Science, Environmental Science, Biology, and Physics. I earned my National Board Teaching Certificate in 2008. I also hold a Master's Degree in Teaching with Emphasis in Teacher Leadership.
I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. I attended Florida State University for four years where I received my degree in meteorology. I enjoy teaching and learning about all aspects of science especially weather and space. I am also a huge Star Trek fan!
I became interested in the atmospheric sciences after experiencing Category 5 Hurricane Andrew pass through my hometown in August of 1992. The power of nature inspired me to learn more and I was determined to understand it.
Now instead of chasing dangerous tornadoes or flying through hurricanes I inspire students to become lifelong learners of science here at Spruce Creek High School.
In my free time, I enjoy doing anything outdoors, surfing, spending time with my family (wife, 2 kids, and 2 dogs), and travelling.
